Managed WAN VPLS Services
Reliance Globalcom Managed WAN VPLS
Technology
Reliance Globalcom has used Ethernet as its transport technology. Building an Ethernet network from day one means no reliance on legacy Frame Relay, ATM and SONET technologies. The network runs on an internal MPLS core, on top of which we run a Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS). VPLS is an MPLS application that allows geographically dispersed sites to share a single layer 2 Ethernet broadcast domain.
Combining of VPLS and MPLS results in a best-of-breed approach that provides the reliability, security and ease of use of Ethernet, along with the scalability, multipoint-to-multipoint support, resiliency and QoS features of MPLS. VPLS ensures that you keep control of your internal IP addressing and routing, Reliance Globalcom simply connects your internal LAN architecture.
Reliance Globalcom makes easy work of deploying partial or fully-meshed network topologies. The Reliance Globalcom Managed WAN VPLS offers simple layer 2 Ethernet connectivity; available in point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint configurations. This service can be deployed across multiple cities (national or international) at bandwidths ranging from 1 Mbps to 1 Gbps. The Reliance Globalcom's network is an ideal platform for mission-critical and latency-sensitive applications, such as a VoIP, video-conferencing, CRM, ERP and backup and recovery. Additionally, fully supporting future enterprise networking needs, the Reliance Globalcom WAN VPLS can support class of service (CoS) options and Q-in-Q/VLAN stacking.
Fully-Managed Ethernet Service
What does 'Fully-Managed' really mean? Reliance Globalcom installs, provisions, monitors, manages and takes full responsibility for the network termination (CPE) device at your site, wherever it is. Because we run an end-to-end Ethernet network, you simply plug-in your LAN; the Reliance Globalcom network acts like an Ethernet bridge, easily connecting multiple locations anywhere in the World. Additionally, this simple approach means that you do not have to worry about scaling older technologies like ATM/Frame Relay and ISDN and managing the associated hardware.
