SAN FRANCISCO, September 7, 2004—Yipes Enterprise Services, Inc. today announced the appointment of John Scanlon as its new Chief Executive Officer. Interim CEO John Peters will maintain his position as a Yipes board member and remain actively involved with the company.

John Scanlon brings more than 20 years of telecom service provider experience to his new position at Yipes. Most recently he served as VP of International and Corporate Development at Internap. Scanlon also served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Service Planning during his five years at Internap. Prior to Internap, Scanlon served as co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Flat Rate Telecommunications. Scanlon engineered the acquisition of Flat Rate by Viatel and then continued as GM of the division until leaving that position for Internap. Previously, Scanlon held a variety of finance, business development and strategic planning positions in over 10 years at MCI.
