Reliance Globalcom supports Aurecon’s business growth
Extends the current global agreement to over 90 sites across 15 countries, with significant cost savings to deliver services of the highest quality, even in the most challenging geographies like Africa
Sydney, December 8, 2010 - Aurecon, the leading engineering, management and specialist technical services group, recently extended its global Wide Area Network (WAN) service provision contract with Reliance Globalcom, a leading global provider of managed network and application delivery services for multinational enterprises, carriers and service providers. Announced today, the agreement expands the existing Aurecon and Reliance Globalcom relationship in Asia Pacific to include more than 30 new sites across South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique and Namibia as well as several locations in the United Arab Emirates and the group’s global head office in Singapore.
In total, the current global agreement extends to over 90 sites across 15 countries. Dawie Kotzé, Aurecon’s Global Chief Information Officer comments, “The service agreement with Reliance Globalcom will enable the group to deploy the best of their skills and expertise on our client projects regardless of the location and even in challenging geographies.”
The inherent flexibility of the Reliance Globalcom’s multi-carrier, Hybrid VNO (Virtual Network Operator) approach enabled Aurecon’s existing agreements with local carriers to be maintained, while simultaneously enabling new best-of-breed technology solutions to be seamlessly implemented, where required. The ability to rapidly integrate multiple diverse suppliers into a single entity was a core business requirement. In this regard, dual route cable diversity delivers improved service assurance on international network transit, managed with a globally consistent SLA and a single procurement and reporting portal - regardless of the underlying carrier or supplier.
“Our business model focuses on establishing our client’s definition of success and tailoring the best Aurecon team across sectors, expertise and geographies to engineer that success,” explains Kotzé. He goes on to say that this ‘One Aurecon’ approach ensures clients receive market leading customised solutions. Central to Aurecon being able to deliver these solutions is an affordable collaborative environment which facilitates fast and effective communication across continents. “This is especially vital when different teams from different countries are working on a single project,” comments Kotzé. Reliance Globalcom delivers this by lowering the total cost of network ownership, with higher bandwidth, into more locations across Africa, Middle East and Asia. This enables real time document collaboration applications to be employed more quickly, and at more project sites.
Just some of the examples of the direct benefits of Aurecon’s contract with Reliance Globalcom include:
Higher bandwidth connectivity to deliver advanced 3D modeling designs for major infrastructure projects in the UAE
Collaborative project document applications to be utilised in sustainable housing developments in Angola
“We are proud to support Aurecon by further enhancing the depth, diversity and geographical reach of its professional expertise. Enabling increased collaboration will enhance their ability to deliver on their ‘One Aurecon’ business model”, said Tim Sullivan, Managing Director, Reliance Globalcom Australasia. He concludes that, “Reliance Globalcom’s solutions enable customers to maintain sustainable business growth without borders while delivering services of the highest quality, even into the most challenging of locations.”
