Role Summary :

Configuration of customer services, including equipment and circuits of both On-Net and Off-Net portion as per customer order.
Working closely with service delivery managers to deliver services as per customer needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configuration of full customer services across production network, including On-Net and Off-Net portion.
• Activate new Off-Net ‘Last-Mile’ circuits for customer service.
• Verification of DLR (Design layout record), add necessary details to existing DLR
• Equipment configuration as required by customer and coordinate the logistics of shipping to the field.
• Trouble shooting with vendor carriers for new partner circuits that completes customer services.
• Comply with processes and time line in place.
• Add clear, unambiguous and time bound comments on to the system, when tasks are in jeopardy or delay. Escalate significant delays to the Line-Manager, SDM, Provisioner.
• Work closely with service delivery manager
• Provisioning on the production network during approved hours
• Communicating changes to the NMC
• Ensure no negative impact on production network during activation activities

• Work to meet/or exceed the Company's Financial Targets
• Work to meet or exceed Customer Satisfaction goals by the targeted quantity
• Maintain configuration errors at less than 2%
• Ensure task completion on time 90%
• Maintain Data Integrity at 100%

• 2-3 years of Telecommunications experience involving managing Telco circuit configuration
• Has worked in a Layer-2 network environment.
• Understands and can troubleshoot Layer-2 network protocols, equipment, and networks infrastructure.
• Has a general knowledge of physical Telco Networks and associated gear
• Can configure switches and routers via CLI from Juniper, Extreme, Nortel etc.
• Understanding of T1, E1, DSX, OCX(SDH)
• Workload management - ability to work to multiple deadlines & co-ordinate multiple priorities/ tasks simultaneously
• Education – B.E in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom/IT / Computer Science Engineering or Computer Science.
• Delivers to targets and is performance focused
• Good written & spoken English

• 2-3 years of Telecommunications experience involving managing Telco circuit configuration
• Has worked in a Layer-2 network environment.
• Understands and can troubleshoot Layer-2 network protocols, equipment, and networks infrastructure.
